I recently moved to Portland and was looking for a place to get an oil change. I brought my car into Steve's and Bob helped me right away! He also let me know that there were a few other things that needed to be changed (I know nothing about cars), like my air filter. I definitely didn't feel like he was doing it to get more money from me - he gave me the option to postpone it. All in all - great service. Thanks Bob!

I have been going to Steve's Automotive since I first moved to Portland seven years ago. My very first experience was the one that made me a lifer. I had my brand new Oregon license plate on my front seat, no tools at my new home yet, and when I picked up my car from getting an oil change, they had put on my new plates for me and welcomed me to Oregon. I hadn't asked them to that at all. Just an example of the good, genuine hearts these guys have.
Since then I have brought my car to them for every tune-up, check-up and oil change. They give it to me honestly and I always feel like I can trust them. I even call them with questions and they kindly listen and give suggestions and help. It's rare to find a place that feels like your Grandpa's shop. And I feel so blessed that I found Steve's so early in my time here. I can't say enough about how wonderful they've always been. They take care of me like I'm family.

I cannot say enough excellent things about Steve's Automotive. I've taken my car there twice and the second time I didn't even have an appointment. But Bob still took his time and was kind and patient with me even though it was a busy Monday morning. He even figured out the problem but then was honest with me telling me it should be covered by the warranty and I can take it into the dealer. Amazing service! He even said I can call him if I have any problems! WOW! I will be taking my car to Bob forever! Everyone should go here! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended!

I called Steve's from a recommendation after having my car broken into last night. The kindly gentleman who answered my call was helpful, honest and sincere. A rare treat in the auto industry. Harsh but true.
Steve's Auto (Bob) -- was kind enough to recommend a specialized glass repair shop who will be driving out to my car this afternoon.What otherwise was a unpleasant experience, has turned into many helping hands to get my car back into proper shape, and that deserves 5 stars from me.

I used one of their coupons for a free oil change that came in the mail and came away pretty impressed. None of the "you need this, you need that" -- and they did a full inspection. Bob advised when the manufacturer recommends replacing spark plugs and I will return to have that done. Professional, yet down to earth and easy to work with.

Went to Steve's after failing DEQ test and calling around. Spoke with Ed over the phone and he was the only place that entertained the possibility of seeing me the next day, though not promising anything. Not only were they able to fix everything the next day, they were extremely transparent about everything and the price was right. That's about all I can ask for in a repair shop and now I know to call Steve's first next time.

We are from out of town. Brought our car in because it had the check engine light come on and was running rough. They looked at it the same day and had it all fixed up for us by the next morning. Great and friendly service and the price was great! Thanks again!

Without a doubt, this is (very respectfully to all other mechanic shops in Houston) one of the best if not the best mechanic shop in the city. I drive nearly 50 miles to get my vehicles serviced at Steve's automotive. Work is excellent and pricing is good as well.

I had them give my 15 year old Subaru a bumper to bumper check. I was very impressed with all the information they gave me, and how reasonable the cost was. Bob was so pleasant and took the time to really explain everything to me, and give me great advice. I'll definitely be back!

I LOVE this place! If I could bring it back to Chicago with me I totally would! Bob is great and always helpful and honest. They do great work, in a timely fashion and at a good price. I even took my car here for simple stuff like oil changes. Wish there were more businesses like this in the world!

Great friendly service and accommodating to my time constraints. I was given a quote for passenger side window fix. He also took time to explained a few options that he might had to call me for decision if the problem is more severe than what he anticipated. Overall great service. Great location for drop off and pick up as you can roam around downtown while you wait.
